Dylan Johnson has achieved the third stripe on the white belt. It is awesome to get to this level as is the highest grade in our academy at the moment. Also congrats to Lucas for achieving his second stripe. You both have done a great job and have shown incredible levels of commitment. Keep going as there is still a long road ahead.

Congratulations to Elvis, Mahala, Finley, Xavier on their progress to white first stripe. Your journey has just started and already you've shown fantastic progress in such a short time. Also Congratulations to Seth Williams on his progress to Blue belt second stripe. In fact it is an amazing feat just to be back on the mat so soon after the recent hip surgery. Well done everybody and continue working hard.

Grading December 2009 - Photo Gallery

Dear Students, I was astonished to see the high levels presented on the grading day. It was an awesome achievement that such proficiency in the techniques was demonstrated on the mat. Definitely our Club is a huge Success.

This shows the great path we have ahead of us in the near future. Everybody should keep training hard and the evolution of your techniques will come along by itself. I’m very proud of all of you. Not long ago I was watching your birth on this amazing martial art, as a father watches over the first steps, I was impressed to see how good it feels to see my students rush out crawling on their own. And now just a little over 5 months they have given the first few steps. Soon our academy will be full of runners (purples belts) and then we can go out there and declare loudly:

“We don’t have a black belt teacher and no, we don’t have an academy full of coloured belts, YET, but what we do have in this academy is a coach with a lot of passion for teaching, a great group of students crazy to learn and an academy with the mindset of a family.

And of course great parents supporting behind the scene. Our academy is truly a Martial Art family. These, my friends are the keys for the success. It is always easier, to teach good values to those who have a good heart, than for those with malice in their heart.

I’m humbled and proud to guide you all in this journey. Well done everyone hope to see you all in 2010. -- Edson Ortiz
