Positive Life Skills
We've researched and developed a method of teaching that
cultivates the best of BJJ, contributing to fast progress and
efficient learning for all students.
Kids/Teens – In our program we’ll help your child
develop physically in a high energy class. In a fun environment
your child will learn realistic self-defense skills for real
life threatening situations. No jump kicks or wood chopping
here. BJJ will teach your child how to confront aggression positively.
Adults - the program will emphasize primary and basic
positions. Grappling is very complex in comparison to other
martial arts and if not approached in stages could be very confusing
and frustrating. As in the kids program our classes will have
warm up and drills followed by technique study and practice
(known as rolling or sparring). After 3 months you will have
a better understanding and after 6 months you’ll have learnt
enough to fully appreciate this martial art. After a year's
training the student can expect to gain enough confidence to
defend themselves in any type of confrontation.
BJJ is not something to be looked at as a seasonal effort,
but rather as a discipline that will develop positive life skills.
After some time you begin to understand the philosophy and discipline
of the art. An asset that can’t be taken away from you.
